A walk begins in one place… and opens as threads return.

A First Walk
In the beginning, there is a garden.
“And the Lord God planted a garden in Eden…”
— Genesis 2:8
Stay here for a moment.
Within the garden…
“The tree of life was in the midst of the garden…”
— Genesis 2:9
“A river flowed out of Eden to water the garden…”
— Genesis 2:10
“The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden…”
— Genesis 2:15
“They heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden…”
— Genesis 3:8
A garden.
A tree.
A river.
Man.
God present.
Seeds.
Fruit.
Just hold that.
These are what we call threads.
Now… as you continue walking through the Scriptures…
you may begin to notice something.
A tree appears again.
In a different place.
In a different moment.
A river appears again.
Flowing…
bringing life.
A seed is mentioned.
Not all at once.
Just… appearing.
And when you see it…
there is a quiet recognition:
You’ve seen this before.
You don’t have to explain it.
Just notice it.
And this is where a walk begins to open.
There are many threads that can be followed.
Trees.
Water.
Rivers.
God’s presence.
Seeds.
Fruit.
Movement.
Direction.
Food.
Feasts and banquets.
Sons.
Promises.
Covenants.
Marriage.
Union.
Birth.
Death.
Mountains.
Fish.
Crossings.
Darkness.
Morning.
Evening.
Light.
Fire.
Bread.
Wine.
Shepherds.
Lambs.
Vineyards.
Cities.
Wilderness.
Rest.
And as they are followed…
they begin to come together.
Not separate ideas—
but patterns.
Because you can begin anywhere.
A word.
A place.
A moment.
A thread.
A verse.
A chapter.
A book.
And follow it.
Where it appears again.
How it returns.
What begins to take shape.
This is a lifelong walk through the Scriptures.
And this is the kind of walk the Companion makes possible.
Not in one place—
but anywhere.
